By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen, Manufacturers of Cleaning & Hygiene Products AGMA Ltd develops, formulates and manufactures speciality chemical products at its site in Haltwhistle, Northumberland in the North of England.
We are BS EN ISO 9001:2008 certified; manufacture to GMP standards and specialise in the formulation of cleaning and biocidal solutions for a broad range of professional uses from Pharmaceutical Cleanrooms in Europe to Oil Companies in Mexico & Malaysia.
Formed in 1947, primarily as a trading company specialising in materials for the paint & coatings industry, AGMA Ltd has diversified and grown consistently year on year by designing and developing unique, innovative, chemical solutions and associated delivery systems for our customers varied challenges.
Recent years have seen AGMA’s expansion into the Cleanrooms sector led initially by high purity alcohol based formulations and complemented by water based, rotational biocides designed and developed “in house” by AGMA formulation chemists. We now specialise in the manufacture of speciality alcohol and water based, Sterile and Non Sterile Cleaning and Biocidal products for use within Cleanroom manufacturing facilities. All AGMA branded products are mutually compatible and all backed by independent microbiological efficacy test data from peer reviewed and highly respected test houses in UK .
Today AGMA Ltd is a highly successful speciality Chemical Blending operation, family owned and managed by Malcolm & Maxine Franklin who purchased 50% of the company in 2005 and acquired 100% ownership in May 2013.
The two current factory units in the North of England house Sales & Marketing, Research & Development, Technical Service laboratories, Cleanroom manufacturing and packaging facilities plus traditional large scale chemical manufacturing. All AGMA’s products are designed and developed by our own innovative technologists. Our bespoke formulations are tried and tested internationally with 40% of AGMA’s sales being generated by exports.
Here at AGMA we work to the highest standards utilising SAP and Sharepoint for our Customer Management, Manufacturing and Quality Management Systems. We are audited and approved suppliers to the NHS here in UK as well as many major global blue chip Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Oil companies. Our customer base comprises a prestigious list of specifiers and end users including national and international leaders in the fields of healthcare, aerospace, defence, oil exploration & recovery, construction and mass passenger transit.
In 2018 AGMA will be 50 years old having kept abreast of changes in technology, legislation, evolving environmental standards whilst developing new and innovative solutions.
