If line pipe forms the arteries of the oil business, then drill pipe, casing and
related movables form the veins.
A serviceable supply of sound, inspection-cleared stock costs billions in
inventory. Yet millions are lost by one simple factor - corrosion.

Corrosion occurs at all stages in the supply train:
- Steel mill ---> site
- Storage at site
- Down hole operations
- Pulled, used tube and pipe
- Refurbished tube recycled to stock via inspection
- Downturn in operations
No tube is invulnerable to corrosion. Corroded carbon steel is visibly obvious
BUT chrome tube and stainless are equally vulnerable. Pinhole corrosion and
chloride stress corrosion are discrete but insidious. Failure in service can be
even more costly.
We work with the steel makers at the mill, the stockists operating just-in-time
tube management, the oil companies who manage their own stock, the work-over and
refurbishment contractors who recondition tube after use.
