Pipelines, collectors, wellheads, satellites, hook-ups, workovers and replacements all require pressure test / leak test in both statute and best working practice. Cocktails of chemical products added to hydrotest water are many and various. Custom and practice are historical. Leaks, failures and spent solutions discharged at sea are harmful, sometimes persistent and always unsightly when tracer dyes are employed.

Agma offers a novel, proven package for all water-based pressure and leak testing. EP 1186/MIS is a tracer 'dye' which is invisible even at high concentrations under normal received 'white' light. EP 1186/MIS fluoresces only under irradiation by tuned UV light and has been proven effective in numerous sensitive in-shore test-and-discharge schemes. EP 1186/MIS is up to ten times less toxic towards marine life than rhodamine or fluorescein dyes.
